Q: How long in advance should I start asking for quotes?
A: It is recommended to do this at least 3 months in advance of your planned move. This enables you to receive all the relevant information, making sure you pack only those goods you really wish to take with you. Please keep in mind that we are in a position to offer you better prices once we can plan your move well in advance.
Q: Am I supposed to tip the movers?
A: Tipping is not required. However, most customers choose to tip 5%-10% to the crew, which provides them professional and courteous service.

Q: Do I need to disassemble items?
A: You have a choice. You can disassemble and reassemble items (furniture, etc.), or Olympus Moving & Storage can provide this service for you at NO additional charge.
Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Yes. Olympus Moving & Storage is licensed by the State of New York and carries the standard insurance coverage required by the New York State Department of Transportation.
Q: How quickly can my stuff be stored?
A: As soon as you need.
Q: Can any item be placed in the storage unit??
A: No. Flammable liquids, combustible gases, perishable goods, plants, animals and illegal substances are not allowed in our storage facility.
Q: How secure is the storage unit?
A: Storage units are safe because there is a person on the premises during operating hours and there is absolutely no access after hours. But since the storage company is not responsible for your belongings, it is a good idea to insure your unit at all times. Ask about our insurance options when you rent your unit.
Q: How long can I occupy my unit for?
A: You can stay as long as you want to.
